At Inkspire Visuals, we are committed to providing quality products and reliable branding services. We want every customer to be satisfied with their purchase. This Refund and Returns Policy explains how returns, refunds, replacements and order cancellations are handled when purchasing from Inkspire Visuals through https://inkspirevisuals.co.za.
1. Returns and Exchanges
Our return policy depends on the type of product purchased and the reason for the return.
We supply both standard products and customised products that may be printed, branded, embroidered, engraved or manufactured according to a customer’s specifications.
Customers must contact us before returning any product. Unauthorised returns may be refused until return arrangements have been agreed upon.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights customers may have under applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
2. Custom-Branded and Personalised Products
Custom-branded products include, but are not limited to:
Branded corporate gifts and promotional products
Custom-printed T-shirts and corporate clothing
Branded pens, mugs, bags, notebooks and diaries
Branded gazebos, banners, flags and display products
Products printed with customer logos, artwork, text or other specifications
Because these products are customised to meet individual customer requirements, they generally cannot be returned simply because a customer changes their mind, selects the wrong design, supplies incorrect artwork or no longer requires the products, subject to applicable law.
Customers are responsible for checking their artwork, spelling, colours, sizes, quantities and product specifications before approving a design for production.
Where a customer has approved a design proof or layout, production will proceed according to the approved artwork and agreed specifications.
However, if a product is defective, materially different from the agreed specifications, incorrectly supplied or otherwise fails to meet the requirements of applicable consumer protection legislation, the customer may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund, as applicable.
3. Standard, Non-Customised Products
Eligible standard products that have not been personalised may be considered for return or exchange, subject to the product’s condition, the circumstances of the return and applicable law.
Returned products should be unused, undamaged and, where reasonably possible, in their original packaging with proof of purchase.
Please contact us before sending any product back. We will confirm whether the product qualifies for a return and provide the relevant instructions.
This section does not restrict any statutory cancellation or return rights that may apply to online purchases.
4. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Orders
If you receive a product that is damaged, defective, incorrectly branded or materially different from the agreed order specifications, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
To help us resolve the issue, please provide:
Your order number and proof of purchase.
A description of the problem.
Clear photographs or videos showing the affected product, where practical.
Details of the product, quantity affected and the outcome you are requesting.
We will assess the issue and work with you to determine an appropriate resolution in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable South African laws.
Depending on the circumstances, the resolution may include a repair, replacement, refund or another legally appropriate remedy.
Customers should not dispose of or alter affected products before we have had a reasonable opportunity to assess the issue, unless necessary for safety or otherwise required by law.
5. Order Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel an order must contact us as soon as possible and provide their order number.
For standard products, cancellation requests will be assessed according to the order status and applicable cancellation rights.
For custom-branded or personalised products, cancellation may become difficult once artwork preparation, procurement, printing, branding or production has commenced.
Where cancellation is legally permitted, any refund or other financial adjustment will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the order.
We cannot guarantee cancellation once an order has entered production. This does not exclude any cancellation rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Refunds
Once a return, complaint or cancellation has been assessed, we will communicate the outcome and any applicable refund arrangements.
Approved refunds will generally be processed using the original payment method where practical and legally appropriate. If this is not possible, we will arrange an appropriate alternative with the customer.
Refund processing times may depend on the payment provider or financial institution. We will advise customers of the applicable process and expected timeframe.
Where only part of an order is affected, the refund or other remedy may relate to the affected portion, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
We will not impose a blanket no-refund rule where a customer is legally entitled to a refund.
7. Return Shipping Costs
Return shipping arrangements and costs will depend on the reason for the return and the customer’s legal rights.
Where a return is necessary because of our error, a defective product or another circumstance for which we are responsible under applicable law, we will address reasonable return and delivery costs as required.
For other permitted returns, the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs where legally permissible and agreed in advance.
Please do not send products to us without first contacting our team for return instructions.
8. Products That Cannot Be Returned in the Ordinary Course
Subject to statutory consumer rights, the following products may not qualify for ordinary change-of-mind returns:
Products customised with customer logos, names, artwork or branding.
Products manufactured or procured specifically to fulfil an approved custom order.
Products produced according to customer-approved specifications.
These exclusions do not apply where they would unlawfully limit a customer’s rights concerning defective goods, incorrect orders, misleading representations or other remedies available under South African law.
9. Online Purchases and Consumer Rights
Inkspire Visuals operates in accordance with applicable South African consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and, where applicable, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
Certain online transactions may qualify for statutory cooling-off or cancellation rights. The applicable rights depend on the transaction, product, legal exceptions and circumstances.
Nothing in this policy is intended to waive, exclude or reduce any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
